There is something beautifully strange about seeing Stockholm slow down for a day. Bike in Tweed has been bringing vintage bicycles, carefully chosen outfits and a love for another era to the streets of Stockholm since 2011, inspired by the wider tweed cycling movement that began in London in 2009. It has never really been about speed or competition, but about slowing down, appreciating the details and bringing a little bit of the past back into the present.

I had the pleasure of documenting the 2026 edition, and honestly, I loved every moment of it. From the bicycles that look like they have their own stories to tell, to the people who put so much thought into their clothes, every corner had something worth photographing. Watching this colourful procession move through Stockholm felt almost like stepping into another time, while still being completely part of the city we know today.

As a street photographer, this is exactly the kind of event I love. Nothing feels overly staged, yet everywhere you look there is a photograph waiting to happen. The people, the bicycles, the clothes, the expressions and Stockholm itself all coming together for one wonderfully nostalgic day.
